Stanford and Pass/No Pass Classes

Can someone please give me the low-down on Stanford's policy on classes taken pass/no pass at other colleges? I'm at UCSD and I'm taking 2 GE classes this quarter as a P/NP (both aren't required for my major). Will that have any effect on my chances? Thanks.

If anyone has an answer it'd be great to know before 5 today (as this is the last day to switch classes). Thanks!

I think at a place as competitive as Stanford this can only hurt you, i mean its better than a D but to have a chance at a place like Stanford you really have to have a strong transcript. Sorry for the bad news.

I don't agree with Jess. Pass/No Pass as part of a strong transcript, when not taken in your major or allied field would not be a problem - is my educated guess. Don't worry about it.

PS Although I know you are not applying to business school, Stanford Business School (where I went) is totally Pass/No Pass.

Thanks for all your help!
