hey guys...i was just wondering for part 4 on the student information form, are these considered academic honors/ programs:
- invited to represent NJ at National Student Leadership Conference
- selected to represent HS at National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology (this year but program is next summer)...please reply THANKS!

oooh.. i went to NYLF on medicine last summer. i was thinking about putting it on there too. i dunno if we're supposed to though.

Those NYLF things are not really prestigious or anything. Carry as much weight as "who's who"

You were invited, but didn't go? I'm not sure how good that will look on its own.....

well I couldn't go to the National Leadership conference cause I was doing an internship but the Forum on Technology is next summer and i was nominated this month...

Put it on there if you actually went, and it meant something to you.
If you were just invited and didn't go, don't put that on there! Way too many people get an invitation...

Are we supposed to put school programs on there too? There was a Pre-Engineering Program and School for the Creative and Performing Arts program at my school last year, so should I put those on there?

National Leadership conferences and other programs you have to pay thousands of dollars to participate in are not considered "prestigious". If you do participate, you can put it on as something you did, but it won't help your admissions chances.
