hey all could you please tell me how many years of student visa did you all get?

It doesn’t really matter that much because your I-20 is the basis of your legal status in the US, not your visa. You do have to re-apply for another visa when you leave the United States if your current one has expired.

Thanks franckchn
When you are applying as an international student how many years of student visa do you get when you are doing an Undergraduate programme. Does it depend on the course you have selected ( 4 or 5 years) or is at the discretion of the visa officer?

It depends more on your nationality and the discretion of the visa officer. Most Singaporeans get 4 or 5, most Chinese get 1 year or so - whether they are matriculating at Stanford, Berkeley or any other university.

My student visa was for the duration of my degree… 4 years.
