Harvard, Princeton and Penn reject soo not feeling hopeful at all :/

I will have a really hard time choosing.
It will be between UWaterloo (for comp sci, got a scholarship + the tuition is lower since I’m Canadian), UIUC or CMU (If I manage to get admitted from the priority waitlist).
I’d by happy with UWaterloo if it wasn’t in the middle of nowhere. But then again the overall cost of the two others would be REALLY higher, and I guess the difference in the education is not worth the money (but then again, UWaterloo is not so known… Even if it’s where Microsoft hires the most every year!).

But if I get into Stanford, I’ll go whatever the price. It’s my current top choice (I learned to know it a bit in the last couple of weeks after my MIT rejection). I’m an international student (from Canada but living in France), and I applied without asking for FA, to not reduce my already slim chances (Stanford is not need blind for intls…), so I’d pay the full cost.

Rejected to 2 ivies, JHU, Vandy. Doubtful about Stanford. Probably going to have to go with Emory.

rejected to: brown, columbia, harvard, hopkins, princeton, and yale
wait listed at: duke, upenn, washu, uchicago, and rice
accepted to: cornell, upitt, uva (echols), dartmouth
i am very happy and appreciative that i was accepted to 2 ivies but i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to stanford. i’m pretty doubtful about stanford though. like the majority of you, i was also told i’d get into a good number of these places. i’ll probably decide between cornell and dartmouth. more leaning towards cornell

You can’t go wrong either way !
Congrats !

Rejected from Duke and Brown, accepted to UNC-CH (OOS) and Berkeley as a Regents’ candidate (don’t think I ended up getting it). Not feeling very hopeful about tomorrow.

wait I thought decisions were released on the 1st? That’s two days from now…

Rejected from all Ivies (waitlisted at Harvard), and accepted to Duke.

I’m hoping that Stanford has mercy on me, but if not, I’ll be a Blue Devil. ;)

^Nope, decisions will be released tomorrow at 3PM PDT.

Isn’t Stanford a bit more subjective than the Ivies? I heard that somewhere but I’m not sure…

ahhhhhhhhhhh I’m dying b/c I kind of know I won’t get in but I have a sliver of hope…
but I’m sure it’s the same for most others

Accepted to: Johns Hopkins, UCLA, Berkeley, Tulane (half-ride), UMiami (half-ride)
Waitlisted at: Harvard
Rejected by: Duke, Penn, Northwestern

I’m leaning towards Hopkins unless my Stanford deferral turns into an acceptance! Lol in my dreams.

I’ve been accepted to Berkeley, Reed, & a lot of less-selective schools. No waitlists or rejections yet, but Stanford is my big reach school, so I’m fully prepared for a rejection. I’ll probably go to Reed either way. :~) Good luck, friends!!

Stanford is only going to accept another 1500 students, so don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t get in. Yes, it is an amazing school and it is understandable why everyone wants to go there, but there just aren’t many spots left for everyone. All will be happy wherever you go, and a state school with in-state tuition or scholarships is a great option. Some of you are accepted to other fabulous schools so do not fret and enjoy your experience next year wherever you are!

Good luck everyone! After today, im going to guess I will be waitlisted or rejected tomorrow. Right now waitlisted at HYPM and Columbia…they just need me to wait the longest possible time to decide my fate.

Nearly forgot about Stanford.

Rejected from every Ivy save Cornell and waitlisted at Brown. Only 4/14 acceptances thus far. Probably going to be 4/15. Six rejections and the rest waitlists.

rejected by HYP, Columbia, Williams
accepted to UChicago
praying for Stanford

getting nervous just reading all these posts! good luck guys!

-hs sophomore

Just got rejected penn and brown today. Hoping really hard for good news from Stanford tomorrow.

Just rejected from Yale today after being deferred SCEA.

No matter what, guys, just remember that we’ll all end up at a place that is absolutely perfect for us, whether or not we realize it now.
