Out of state, from Texas. I go to a highly competitive high school here.

I haven’t calculated my weighted GPA yet, but my GPA is a 4.2 right now.
At my school, 4.0 = maximum for regulars, 4.5 = honors, 5.0 = AP classes
I’ve taken 7 AP classes so far in 3 years. I’m taking 5 more this year.

SAT subject: Math: 750, Planning on taking biology and physics in November. I know UM doesn’t care much for subjects though.

ACT score: 30 (English: 31, Math: 33, Reading: 32, Science: 24)

I participate in Science Fair every single year, & I make it to the regional level (no HUGE wins though)

^Not to be harsh, but this is a place for freaking out, not for chancing. Create a chance thread and I’m sure you’ll receive a lot of feedback.

@AeryGold, I totally agree! Nobody can see your rec letters/essays so chancing is super hard! Also, tbh, do any of us REALLY know what they’re looking for?

@iman123194 thanks a ton! having it in the subject is really scary!

I’ll see it before I unlock my phone. It’ll be there… right on the home screen. Staring at me. I don’t think I’ll be able to read the email once I’ve seen the rejection in the subject. :(

Beginning of March is when nerves start acting up. Something shocking happened and we’re still speechless. On 3/14th, we received a handwritten postcard from the admissions officer of my son’s admission. I called to verify and the office people had no idea what that was. 5 minutes later, the admin officer called directly to validate his admission. NEVER heard of this happening - not sure if other schools do it too but it’s still weird to us. This is not to brag but to let everyone you never know what the schools will do. Hang in there everyone; my 1st son didn’t make it to Stanford and he was devastated but now thriving somewhere else :)

Rejected from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Wharton. Waitlisted from Duke, Dartmouth

2340 SAT, 800s on all subject tests, good but not spectacular ECs (mainly due to moving around so much), very good essays, decent-good recommendations. All I have left is Stanford (highly highly HIGHLY doubt I’ll get in).

If I don’t get into Stanford, I guess I’m going to UVA (Echols scholar, in-state tuition, love the school). I feel really dejected right now. Praying for Stanford

Well, I applied to a safety for a reason lol. Rejected everywhere else. I’m top of my class (and we had multiple ivy admits this year) yet I still got rejected most all places so not too hopeful for stanford tomorrow. Sucky thing is not necessarily the rejections but all the people around me saying I was forsure going to get in haha

Yep, a bit the same here (Waitlisted at Ivies, Priority Waitlisted at CMU, etc.) . But oddly, I feel a bit more confident about Stanford.
I really loved my Stanford supplement, it is by far the best I wrote (even better than the one I wrote for MIT, which was my top choice).
