***Stanford Class of 2019 Applicant Discussion***

That countdown scares the crap out of me!!! But then again, I just want to know either way…
I’ve already been accepted to Clemson. I’m just waiting for my Clemson Honors decision and my Georgia Tech decision

@emenya How is that even possible, some of those schools are SCEA

My absolute top 2 choices are Stanford or Berkeley, but I am also applying to MIT, Princeton, and Carnegie Mellon! My back-up is UT Austin and I’ve already been admitted so I’m safe! I feel like I should apply to more colleges, but for my major, UT Austin is a great school so if I don’t get into the other 5, I just might as well go to UT Austin.

@jk1324 same here! UT is amazing for engineering, close to tops in the nation, so there is no drop off really.

@TonPrince‌ , I’m a QuestBridge finalist so I was essentially able to apply EA to those schools. And for the privates/publics, I applied under RD or Rolling admission. I stayed within specific QuestBridge College Match guidelines.

@predent‌ I agree with you on the Stanford bubble. As for the weather, I love snow, but I also love wearing tanks and shorts. Haha, for me, the pros definitely outweigh that one con.

I’m applying to Stanford (obv), Harvard, Brown, UPenn, Cornell, WUSTL, Johns Hopkins, Boston U, USC (Southern California, not South Carolina), and UChicago. I’ve already applied to UMichigan, UMBC, UMD College Park and UNC Chapel Hill.

Other than Stanford I’m applying to Penn, Johns Hopkins, Berkeley, Northwestern, Tufts, Lehigh, Northeastern, Rochester, and the university of Vermont… I would LOVE to be accepted to Stanford but I would be excited to go to any of these schools.

HYPSM, Cornell, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Northwestern, Rice, Oberlin

Princeton (maybe), MIT, Penn, Duke, Hopkins, NU, CMU, CWRU, Rice, GT, Purdue, UIUC, UofM

hey! has anyone here who is international received an email from admissions@stanford.edu confirming that they don’t want financial aid? i received one last week and am wondering if the email signifies anything

Sigh I’m getting so nervous that I’m starting to regret taking such a risk by applying early :(

Hi there @1mangogo‌! I am an international, but I haven’t received a single email from Stanford so far. Nevertheless, in my application I did write that I was applying for financial aid, and I did submit my CSS. Perhaps you noted otherwise?

Hey guys, I was looking at all of your other choices, and I just wanted to ask about your SAT scores. As you keep mentioning your other college choices, would you please note your SAT scores?

2350: 800 CR, 800 W, 750 M
780 US history and 780 Math II

@MMVenezuela‌ hi there! I did not apply for financial aid. The email i received (i think) is only for people who are NOT applying for financial aid because it was just confirming that I do not want financial aid

@1mangogo‌. Exactly, that’s what I thought. They just confirmed you did not apply for the FA. By the way, where are you from?

@MMVenezuela‌ i’m from canada! and i’m assuming you’re from venezuela? haha

ooh Canada! I have a friend who lives in Canada who is applying early as well! She’s from Nova Scotia.

@MMVenezuela‌
