@tyrion14 if you weren’t happy with your math ii score, why did you send it? the sat iis are optional for stanford.

@DL43516 if you don’t submit the CSS, it won’t affect your decision. You just won’t get your financial aid estimation with your admission decision (if you are accepted.)

Also did you apply REA or RD? If RD, they the deadline is February 15, so you might still have time.

Did anyone of you send the Art Supplement? And do you think it can make a difference to your application if your intended major has nothing to do with music?

And listen up everyone, Stanford is used to saying no to more than 95% applicants in general. So it doesn’t matter we’re one of them. At least we were the given few out of a seven-billion plus who dared to dream big.

^Whoa.

Quick question…
I applied REA but I didn’t do the CSS because I didn’t know about it. Assuming I get accepted, I can still apply later and get financial aid, right?

@imagineer10 Do it right now…

@lukan9718. Outstanding Art Supplements that CONFIRM one’s extraordinary talent in the area that they have pursued can make a difference for those applicants who are sitting on the fence (academically)…that is to say, if you are a very competitive student with median test scores and median GPA (for the unhooked non-URM) similar to those who have been ACCEPTED in the past…your extraordinary talent can and will determine your decision outcome…

…on the other hand, mediocre, average, or subpar art supplements will not help…it may potentially harm your application since they will compare your art supplement with other top-notch artists/musicians…in this case…best NOT to submit an art supplement…rather…it’s best to just talk about it or list it along with your other extracurricular activity(ies)…

@heldenleben I’m not sure; I didn’t feel right not sending if you know what I mean

As the amount of days until we receive our decisions decreases, the more I’m accepting my rejection. Lol, good luck to everyone.

@KelMoo exactly, and I’m using Thanksgiving week to work on other applications so I can kind of forget Stanford for the time being.

@tyrion14 that’s good you’re going to be productive during Thanksgiving break. I was planning on just binge eating tbh… Lol

@KelMoo I have a deadline December 1, so I should at least finish that one up

Who else is constantly nervous about their decision??

@imagineer10 Not me. You shouldn’t be nervous either. It’s bad for your health. Focus on other things. You can be constantly anxious for another 19 days. :)>-

Not really, I’ve replaced my Stanford worries with worries about final exams.

Haha thanksgiving break? So much for break… all filled with college apps and crying and binge eating

The winter winds here in New Delhi announce the onset of December. I have diverted my mind from Stanford by focusing on my chemistry practicals. It’s fun to play around with so many colors in the lab.

And as I said, it does NOT matter if any one of us doesn’t make it to Stan.

I am worried because my practicals are on 16th, the day after the decision. And I would probably end up spoiling my tests with bagfuls of tears: tears of rejection.

Rather than just sharing your worries, let’s all share our favourite movies and books that we mention in our application!!

@lukan9718 Whatever happens, remember there is life after rejection. I’m lucky; school ends on the 12th so I can be safely at home by decision time.
