***Stanford Class of 2019 Applicant Discussion***

Start the baby wailing. I find out my decision next Monday. :open_mouth: But anyway I am taking this week to forget all about schools, well not really because of RD apps, but I am just going to focus on the holidays. What happens happens and I’m just grateful to even have this opportunity.

Same. I’m too busy with other essays to worry about Stanford. Until December 15 actually rolls around- heaven help me

@SaphLieRe‌ thank you! (Tho I got absolutely crushed by a physics test today) It was not pretty :(

@emenya I wish you and everyone else good luck!

Has anyone had their interview yet? I haven’t been contacted yet and I live very near/in an interview zone. Do they interview everyone applying from a certain zone? Lol or do they only offer interviews to people they haven’t weeded out already?

Thanks @KelMoo‌ ! Good luck to you and everyone (on this thread haha :slight_smile: )

No interview here @cjwu382‌ . Haha don’t worry Stanford doesn’t do interviews like that! And they can’t interview everyone so its kind of random (depending on where you live)

OK, thanks

Does anyone know how useful an InitialView/CIEE interview is? I took one and sent it to Stanford because they don’t offer interview in China. Not sure how much it is gonna help.

Is a subject test taken in January too late for Stanford?

does everyone get interviews? i am out of state and i haven’t been contacted about anything… should i be worried? i applied REA btw

Sorry @rainy929‌ , I’m not sure what that is

@drblack‌ I’m assuming you’re doing RD. On Stanford’s website, they say that the last acceptable date for the SAT is the December testing date:

<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University;

@infinitygirl23‌ not everyone gets interviews. Don’t be worried :slight_smile: It is only a small part of your entire application. It all depends on where you are located:

Anybody on here from South Carolina???

@emenya‌
Just did my Yale interview (basically my first interview ever) and was not really satisfied. Had hoped that I could learn from the Yale one and improve on a Stanford one. Yet I’m from Hangzhou, China, so no interviews for me I guess.

I saw you on the Yale SCEA thread as well; just curious but which school did you graduate from?

So I’m applying to Stanford RD. My intended major is Physics with a concentration in astronomy!

Also, same question as rainy929’s

Has any heard about an InitialView/CIEE interview? Friends of mine are doing it but some who did it told me it’s quite useless/boring.

@emenya‌ damn.
Well I might not even bother submitting subject test scores to Stanford then.

Happy Thanksgiving to my (hopefully) Stanford Family!!!

:) Lol @ProximaCentauri‌ , I’m still in high school! I’m flattered though lol. I’m on both threads because I’m a QuestBridge Fianlist so I applied to Stanford and Yale EA (technically).

I think you’re our first physics major on the tread!
