@gravitas2 I have already been offered and scheduled an interview. (I go to school in durham)

@StanfordOneDay is it just offered to you? Or do you have to contact them first?

@nagintapls It is offered to you via email. Just wait and see for a few days

Thanks.

Lol I know at least one of us will say it at least once a day but…

I’m so excited! And nervous! I want to throw up and laugh at the same time and we’re not even halfway through November! Okay I kind of promise not to bring this up anymore ;)

42 days. 30 work days (of them reviewing the app). I’m so tense, my life’s work is on ethe line.

Thank you! This makes me feel so much better!

Yeah. Been my dream school since middle school. I’ll be pretty disappointed if/when I don’t get in haha. But, its out of our hands now.

@nagintapls
You, me, and probably at least half of the other rea applicants.

I’m afraid because I feel as if my app’s pretty mediocre and I ran into SO many problems while applying
Luckily there are so many good state schools for engineering, and my UIUC’s instate is cheap enough for me (but their bio isn’t very good). Gatech will likely give me no money if I get in and same with Michigan. Gahhh, the struggles.

Does stanford alumni interviewers read your application or components of it?

@predent Yup, I applied to all those schools as well. So many good engineering schools, I know I’ll be fine without Stanford

@TonPrince from what I’ve heard they don’t; it’ll be like meeting a stranger for some coffee.

I just got the email inviting me for an interview (I’m in the Chicago area btw). Anybody have any idea what the interview process is like? I haven’t even replied to the email yet, but I am already incredibly nervous haha.

Woot! Got that email too! Unfortunately, it’s on the date of my speech team’s first competition (and a difficult one at that). I’d really love to be at the competition for the new members so I can help them out! I’m struggling hardcore right now. They offered to try locating an Alum closer to me for another date but I’m not sure I want to jeopardize this opportunity either (I know they say denying it isn’t going to hurt my application, but I really would love to meet these people and see if I’m right for their school). Do you guys think it would be rude to ask, conditionally, for them to look for another alumnus (the condition being that if located and scheduled for another date I would accept the replacement but if not I would go to the original interview on the date of my speech competition)?

You guys are lucky you get an interview–no interviews in California :/

Got an interview as well.

Hi!

I am a fellow applicant to the class of 2019 from SE-Asia. I will be applying RD. I will be applying to a few more schools in the RD round. I want to major in CS and/or Math.

Had a lot of fun doing the essays. Hopefully, the final draft turns out pretty good.

Best of luck to y’all!

Hi @humblefool ! I had a lot of fun with the essays as well. I’ve working on them really hard as compensation lol . It seems have a quite a bit of CS’s here.

Wow I’ve been reading a lot of things about interview on this thread alone, but the thought never occurred to me that California doesn’t get interviews. Hmm.

Also quick question to those who have gotten interviews, or to anyone who can help you in general. Were you called or emailed about the email. I check my email everyday, but my dad is not really good about refilling my cell phone service every month, so some weeks I may not have a phone, or then next month I might have a new number. Very difficult so I go without it. I had put the number I had previously on the commonapp, but now I have a new number. If they can’t reach you will they just email you?

@emenya
I got an email.

Okay thanks @theanaconda ! So much more relieved now!
