@grtd2010 Haha, I mean are you Kashimiri, Bengali, Rajasthani, etc?
Does anyone have a link to Stanford’s official site regarding the updated REA results date?
@methlabrador I’m pretty sure it’s only on their Twitter? idk
@SingHar17 I have been here for a while. I am from North (Hindi).
@methlabrador http://admission.stanford.edu/ First link under “In the News”
@bellbeast @callmegray thank you!!
oh never mind I guess they did have one in their official page
@kath00 I totally agree… please don’t defer me!
This may have been addressed earlier but will a PDF pop up when we open our portal tomorrow with our decision?
Oh my god everyone at our school got waitlisted/deferred from Cornell ED
I have a friend who lives in Korea that got in but besides that i don’t think anyone from my school got in from my school
@bellbeast That has been the general trend. You log in to your portal, it says “1 New Update,” and then it’s a PDF of the letter. The first line will either be “Congratulations…” or “We are sorry to inform you…” or whatever the deferred one is.
@AznDude525 That’s scary.
@bellbeast pretty sure we’ll login, it’ll say “status update” or something like that, and there will be a PDF that we click on that’ll contain our admissions decision letter. The result won’t just pop up as soon as we login pretty sure. I was scared it would haha
we’re nearing 100 pages guys
FYI: last year’s acceptance letter started with “it gives me great pleasure”.
Don’t freak if “Congratulations” isn’t the first word you see.
Best of luck class of 2021.
@Harvardgirl21 Yea, I was asking someone about that a few days ago. Imagine if that’s how it worked… spamming refresh and then, out of nowhere, the letter is staring you right in the face.
I have a relatively high stress tolerance but that would be wayyyy too much.
I have a Calc BC test tomorrow, but how will I focus??? [-O<
Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
As much as getting accepted is the goal, I def wouldn’t mind getting deferred. I read a nice article on Stanford Daily that explains how even though getting deferred is almost as bad as getting rejected–I mean you have to wait even more–it helps push you in terms of academics and ECs. Getting deferred would be great motivation for me especially since I see myself slacking off in my last semester of high school and I’d rather not be doing that LOL
Hopefully, the website won’t be overloaded and crash tomorrow…
