He thought next thursday results would be released (12/15/16), but its tomorrow.
@kath00 December 15, when it was supposed to come out (it said so on the website at least)
I had such a good day today, and then I came home and realized that there’s 22.5 hours left until I get to cry. Great.
Next big date will be close to April 1 for RD and those who get deferral from Stanford.
Thing is, a college list should be composed of schools, all of which you would be happy to go to.
Lurker here. S also applied REA. I enjoy reading all your posts. Y’all seem very hard working, disciplined, motivated and multi talented. I am sure you will succeed whatever college you attend. Good luck everyone!
@AznDude525 To whom are you responding to?
Will our schools’ college counselors know about who gets in before we do?
@SinsOfAdmission It’s to my knowledge they don’t know unless you tell them? My counselors always ask me to let them know when I get my first acceptances and such
I asked about that and the counselor said that she would not. She specifically asked us to email if we were comfortable with it. Eventually they do find out but definitely not before we do. I also asked if Stanford would get in touch with her during the app process and she said no. She said maybe afterwards
Yeah, next Thursday was the original REA date, but Stanford announced it’ll be tomorrow
icant focus on anything fffffff
@SingHar17 If you get in tomorrow, consider yourself to be the lucky one to have won the lottery. Otherwise move on to some other great college in your list.
@grtd2010 Oh, definitely; 95% of REA applicants to Stanford are amazing people with crazy lives and superb credentials and over-the-top stats. Everyone’s a qualified candidate, and at this point, it truly is a matter of space and luck. I’d be happy at my safety school (full ride with honors program ), but I’m using my imminent Stanford rejection as an outlet for any remaining emotional stress. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, and I’ll keep that in mind.
It’s an athletic coach for recruiting so hopefully it’s meaningful! Thank you so much @Thetwins
@grtd2010 I am an Indian parent and know how much this means. My DD is a NMS semifinalist. she will be fine anywhere and will achieve her goals.
Good Luck to everybody! For those who get accepted, Congrats!!! For those who don’t, I’m sure you’ll end up at an excellent college!
@grtd2010 What part of India?
hella kids at my school got rejected from Cornell today, and I’m feeling my confidence leave my body
