Our midterm grades are sent directly from school on Naviance - no self reporting. Does the portal update for this? Ours has not …
Anyone know the official decision date?
@bayareacollege12 projected date is march 29th based on historical precedence. there’s a whole thread on this in the applyingtocollege subreddit if you’re interested!
An admissions officer at Stanford University was arrested after stabbing a woman multiple times while high on LSD.
James Shirvell, 26, was reportedly using the drug while with the woman at a house in the Potrero Hill neighborhood in San Francisco over the weekend. He’s charged with attempted murder, assault with force likely to commit great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
Here’s a link to the article:
April 1 is on their website
Its probably before april 1
Just curious, what has the decision date been in previous years?
I thought that Stanford usually releases decisions on Ivy Day?
Hey guys idk if this means anything but I self reported my standardized testing to stanford when i submitted by common app on December 23rd, and it showed on the portal that it was submitted then. But, I just checked my portal and it says my testing was recieved on February 28 THIS YEAR. This is so crazy because I know for a fact that my school did not send in anything. Also, I did not order test scored ffrom collegeboard or anything
@ivygirl221 This has been happening to many people’s portals. People think that it’s the date that a decision was made for you. My friend, valedictorian with 35 ACT, had his date changed on March 8. Of course, this can just be some weird glitch that applicants are reading too much into, haha!
@LincolnsGF ooohh, ok then!!!
Ds’s year, Stanford released the day after Ivy Day. Ivy Day was a Thursday. The 29th seems like a good bet.
The date in my portal never changed and I don’t even know what to think ahhhh
mine didn’t change when everyone was talking about it and then suddenly it changed to march 7th so im confused
@celestialkairos My son’s has not changed either. But he is Questbridge Regular Decision, and sent his to Stanford in October, if that makes a difference.
In 2018, 2017, and 2016, RD decisions came out the last Friday of the month.
@thatkidsmom same for my Questbridge son - still says Oct 18
My daughter’s hasn’t changed either. She sent her scores in June 2018.
i just got a stanford summer session email but all i saw was the stanford logo at first and my heart stopped for a second lol
After talking to a few applicants, reading this, and reading the reddit “investigation” of the date changes, I think the explanation is quite simple: The students who officially sent in their scores don’t see a change. The kids that self-reported their scores see the update as the decisions (good or bad) are entered into the system. Just a hunch, but it seems to best explain the anecdotal evidence.
