Same no interview here from Pakistan.
Tbh interview has nothing to do with getting an acceptance. Last year, I knew 4 from Pakistan who were accepted to Stanford all without an interview.

How many people from India get in every year? Official data says about 17 to 18 but that seems really high. Anyone knows? Also is it a good sign if I got an interview (from an indian metrocity)?
they have 60 indians. So 15 each year. But account for yield, that should be 18. So yes.
But Indians with financial aid? Only 3-4 a year
do you know how many italians get in, in one class?
This link from Stanford says 5 Italians. So about 2 admits per year: Stats 2018.pdf - Google Drive
15 a year seems really high. Iām full pay so that shouldnāt be a barrier. Is the mid-year report showing in the portal an indicator? Because mine doesnāt show it. Also is it a good sign if I got an interview (from an indian metrocity)?
Is getting an interview a good sign this year? Lots of people arenāt getting interviews it seems
What makes u think itās really high? 15 out of some 2000 applicants isnāt high at all.
Interviews donāt mean anything. Mid year report wonāt show for anyone
fair enough, its not that high. are you sure mid year reports arenāt showing for anyone? Someone on here was saying midyear reports showing is an indicator for acceptance. Also if my interview was average, not that great or not that good, will it hinder my chances? Is an interview often what gets someone in?
From what I know, no one can see a mid-year report. So itās nothing
An interview rarely affects a decision
Yes, mid year report will not show up in the portal I had checked with Stanford
How many students does Stanford take from Canada every year?
Hey all, I have some pretty significant updates to make. I am on a Gap Year. I know itās already 25th Marchā¦ but I think we still have a week before Stanford releases RD decisionsā¦ do you think I should update them or will it be a waste of timeā¦
Also, I checked Stanford doesnāt have any āuploadā button on their portalsā¦ so,should I send an email including my Common App ID, DOB and mentioning that this is an update letter from this student???
Does that include indian origin from US?
No. Those are Americans, not internationals.
Iām curious, then, why they do the interviews if they have little to no bearing on admission?
To
a) catch any red flags that may not be apparent from the rest of the application
b) keep alumni engaged by making them feel part of the process
My interviewer seemed not that enthusiastic when interviewing me. It only lasted 30 minutes, but i feel we connected a little on some bits. He said, āIām sure youāve applied to many schools, surely one of you will get into.ā It sounded kinda negative. Does this mean he is going to write me a bad report? Will this impact my chances of admission?
No. Indian citizens only
Are you sure you donāt have the update button? Pretty sure thereās a āUpdate Applicationā button.
