Stanford ePay and Scholarships?

I'm looking at my bill on ePay, and it seems to be charging me for the full amount of tuition...will it eventually reflect the need-based scholarship I'm getting from Stanford?

same for me. i sent them (stanford epay, with the link given in the email) that question. hopefully the paper bill will reflect the actual aid applied to the bill.

same with me. did u accept the scholorship? I saw that link today on axess and I accepted it.

same here. they also sent me an email saying that the bill for the quarter is going to be spilt up into monthly payments, but the bill on stanford epay is for the the total cost of the quarter with a due date of Sept. 15. I'm confused.

According to axess our scholarships will be dispursed on the 15th, the same day our bills are due.

isn't the accepting thing just for loans. shouldn't the non-loan aid automatically be accepted?

Well if you go to accept/decline aid the non-loan aid and the work-aid are automatically checked to accept and you can't change them.

Bump! Did anyone here anything new about this?

Yeah, my mommy called the financial aid office and they said that all financial aid will just be applied to the bill and to not worry about it.

wait can you elaborate. so will our bill reflect the aid applied soon?

ugh. stanford fin aid is so effed up. not in terms of how much they give. they were the best fin aid package i was offered.

but as far as disbursment and explanations of what i owe exactly and when and blah blah blah...they suck.

Yeah can you please explain more? I called them today but after around half an hour on hold I gave up.

Sorry, i was in a hurry.

Basically, they said was that all financial aid would be applied to the bill. I am completely covered by scholarships so they told me that I needn't worry about anything being disbursed because it would happen automatically. So basically just pay whatever you owe and your need based money will be applied according to how much you have.

So yes, right now E-pay shows that the bill has not been paid but that is because funding has not been disbursed it will be disbursed the day of the deadline.

Superwizard: that is so weird, I always am able to get through pretty quickly, perhaps they had a lot of people calling about this issue.

uh sorry, i dont think i understood. i'm not completely covered by fin aid, so is the ePay bill going to show the changes before the deadline? I didn't get when you said , "So basically just pay whatever you owe and your need based money will be applied according to how much you have."

so we should figure out the amount ourselves and pay that? can we do that in ePay?

Sorry I didn't explain myself well.

On the bill it should show "anticipated aid", this is the amount you are not responsible for and will be disbursed to your account on the deadline. Subject your anticipated aid from the bill and that is how much you owe, which is due on sept 15th. You can pay the bill online through e-pay.

what if your anticipated aid is more than the balance?

Then you have extra money for books in your account. The funds will be disbursed automatically.

hey thanks ferrets!

Yeah Thanks

No problem, I was very confused too.
