Hi guys. I am debating between Duke and Stanford and I wanted to get some insight on the differences between their social/party scenes. I am a girl who is definitely interested into joining a sorority.
So basically,

  1. Durham vs. Palo Alto
  2. Amount of people who are work hard/play hard at both schools
  3. What is Stanford’s social scene bc I know Duke has a huge social scene

Are you debating on where to apply early? If not, apply to both. Have you visited the schools?

Party scene will be stronger at Duke. Duke also has ED, which is a bigger bonus than Stanford’s SCEA.

fwiw: why not look at Dartmouth if ‘party hearty’ is your cup of tea.

Based on your interest in sororities & social life, you may want to consider some SEC schools honors colleges.
