Stanford short essay help

Hello everyone, just looking from a little piece of advice, especially from Stanford students. I’m really passionate about food and cooking. I’m actually writing my stanford essays and would like to know if it would be wise to talk about different aspects of my passion for cooking in all my essays?

For example:

  1. Main common app essay- talked about my love for cooking and how I grew up from it
  2. Intellectual vitality- Internship in a professional kitchen
  3. What matter to u most and why?- talking about a traditional family recipe

Thanks!

Just my opinion - talking about the same subject for all three essays might be a bit overkill and cause you to miss out on the chance to show other aspects of yourself.

When I applied I made a conscious effort to dedicate each essay to a different aspect of myself/passion. If an essay is well written, one essay should be enough to show your passion for food/cooking. It might seem a bit one-dimensional if all you talk about is cooking.
