Is there are a name for stanford students? By that I mean, Yale students are often called Yalies. Do Stanford students have a name?

Stanfordites.

Herb Caen called them Stanfoos. His son went to Cal, whose students (known as Cal Weenies at Stanford) refer to Stanford as Stanfurd, and Stanford students as Stanfurds.

Those of us who graduated from both schools (and we are legion), particularly those of us (and we are legion) whose spouses did their undergraduate work across the Bay, try to rise above such rivalries.

arnoc, did you make that up? because if you did, I personally like Stanforidians better. if not, then thank you.

Greybeard, I'm looking for a word I can use in an essay for Stanford.

A few examples of the phrase being used. It's not my invention.

Okay, cool! Thank you so much. <3

Stanfordites? Really? I've never heard that used by actual students. AFAIK, Stanford students are usually just called "stanford students".
