Stanford Student's Highschool GPA

For those of you who have already been admitted to Stanford, or are currently attending Stanford, what was your recalculated unweighted highschool GPA for Stanford? What classes did this GPA include? How many classes?

I had a 4.0 (although this wasn't too rare at my HS). I think I took 10 AP classes during my high school career...the offered ones that I didn't take were Music Theory, Art History, and the non-English languages.

I feel that getting into Stanford without a hook (and by that I mean URM, athlete, etc) requires top grades in the hardest high school courseload available. That doesn't necessarily mean to take every AP - I don't think taking 8 APs that you don't care for is that much better than taking 7, for example - but definitely take advantage of your opportunities.

i got in with a 3.92 unweighted, 4.75-ish weighted. i can't remember exactly how many APs i had, but i did end up with an AP nat'l scholar award, and i took a bunch of "post-AP" classes like multivariable calculus, complex analysis, genetics, etc. but then again, my school was gigantic and offered all those classes--but i don't think stanford would expect all schools to have things like that. so just do the best with what your school has to offer--even if it's just one or two AP's--and don't stress out too much! =)
