My name is Diego (you can call me frodo Though) and I am from Guatemala. I have been for the past weeks in the difficult decision of choosing among the colleges that admited me and got down to these two: Princeton and Stanford. I want to study engineering (not shure if EE, CS, ME) because I want to research in Artificial Intelligence and robots. I feel Princeton has a great undergrad program, and is the best (with Cornell) among the Ivies in engineering, but Stanford has far greater reputation on engineering. I was wondering if stanford would give me better chance to enter the top grad schools for engineering than Princeton. At the end I just cant find a reason for one college over the other. I would appreciate any coments!!! thanks a lot.

If you definitely want to pursue engineering, go to Stanford. There's no contest. However, if you're looking for the best overall undergraduate experience, there's nothing better than Princeton.

Stanford's engineering is so much better than Princeton's they are not even comparable. Also, Stanford is not like MIT or CalTech. If you find out that engineering is not for you, you can easily pick a different major and there won't be any drop off in quality. Stanford has programs that are almost always ranked in the top 5. It's well-rounded.

As far as grad school admissions, I think both would give you equal chances. For overall undergrad focus, Princeton's better.

If you are sure about doing engineering, and if money is not a problem,Stanford is the better option

akashbansal: which college do you plan to go? Stanford or Princeton?

I believe that Stanford is significantly better than Princeton in Engineering.

come on bro. Stanford.

this isn't even a question.
