Stanford vs. Samford?

Hello Brethren-in-Christ

By His Will I received an acceptance from both colleges this year and have not yet determined which one Jesus sees fit for me to attend. I am strong in my Faith (son of a Baptist preacher) and would like to avoid a college that tolerates homosexuals and doesn't have a solid Southern (Dixieland is G-d's country!) background.

However, others (including two agnostics and perhaps a few others who are weak in their Allegiance to Him) have been urging me to go to Stanford for a "better education"? I personally think Samford has a solid curriculum and don't believe that education can really exist without obedience to Him. Financially, both would be the same for me- Stanford is $2,000 cheaper per year, but is that reward for rejecting Him?

I don't know what to do. I'm worried about my job prospects and feel that I might sacrifice some educational quality by going to Samford, but I don't want to venture into the world of hedonists, heathens, and homosexuals. But even my parents think that Stanford is the better choice- even though really there's no prestige difference between Stanford and Samford.

Is God testing my faith? I'll be majoring in liberal arts but don't believe that makes a difference.

■■■■■, you do Satan’s work!

This can’t be serious.

■■■■■

One of the funniest posts I’ve read in the past seven years.
Keep up the good work. You should apply for a job writing for The Onion.

■■■■■, for sure. Nice try, though.

■■■■■, but for those who really are concerned about attending Stanford, it has a massive Christian fellowship. One of D’s best friends, a rising sophomore there and a devout Christian, has made many friends through IVF. I assume she is also getting a great education. ;)
