<p>Currently, I am a little on Yale side. Because I think an undergraduate education at Yale is more about the cultivation of leadership, which i think is very important. But Stanford seems to be strong in all aspects. As I still can't decide my major now, Stanford sounds like a safer choice.</p>

<p>Visit both schools and see what you think. The atmosphere is very different. Yale seems more gloomy and intense, while Stanford has a more relaxed feel.</p>

<p>I've never attended Yale (although I know quite a bit about it), and therefore don't have anything particularly intelligent to add about S vs Y. But I did attend both Harvard and Stanford recently, and was curious about your basis for making the above statment -- not at all true based on my experience.</p>
