any updates guys? one of my friends said he got the rejection today

also congrats @MCT1996!! I assume you are planning to accept the offer of admission?

Received the e-mail saying that they had a strong response to offers of admissions and won’t be taking me off the waitlist.

@magnificent6 by “won’t be taking you off the waitlist”, do you mean that you are still on the waitlist and they will notify you later, or that they will not be accepting you from the waitlist (i.e. it’s the end of the line)?

Can’t offer me a place either. Oh Well.

My daughter received an email today. It says the following:

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for accepting your place on the Stanford waitlist. We had a very strong response to our initial offers of admission, and it is with regret that I write to let you know we will not be able to offer you a place in the incoming freshman class.

Thank you for the hard work and outstanding potential your application represents, and you have our very best wishes for your college education.

Sincerely,

Richard H. Shaw

I got the same email as above

I’m eager to know how many people did stanfurd accept off their waitlist

I’m honored to have struggled through this with you @FUnderwood . Onto bigger and better things as they say!

son got same rejection letter

Was anyone else kept on the waitlist like me?

bluesky29,
Did you get a new letter/email offering a spot on the waitlist or you just haven’t gotten the rejection letter?

I was kept on the waitlist… but chances are they wont take me off. Anyway thanks for all the advice you all!

@bluesky29

Could you copy and paste that email? So there’s an extended waitlist?

This is the extended waitlist email letter below.

Thank you for accepting your place on the Stanford waitlist. We appreciate your patience and are writing with this update.

We had a very strong response to our initial offers of admission and therefore have not yet determined whether or not we will have additional openings in the class. While we have released the vast majority of candidates on our waitlist and do not anticipate that we will have openings in our class, we are maintaining a small extended waitlist and would like to keep you on this list.

We will contact you if we find we have capacity in the class. If we do not have a space for you, we will send you a final decision no later than July 1.

Thank you for your continued interest in Stanford.

Sincerely,

Richard H. Shaw
Dean of Admission and Financial Aid

Hey, guys. So, I mentioned that I was accepted to Stanford through the wait-list. When I first got the e-mail, I immediately thought that I was going to go there since it was my dream school for a long time. However, after further consideration, I decided to stay with the university to which I already committed. That means there’s still a slot open! I hope that one of you still on the wait-list gets it because you certainly deserve it. Good luck, everyone! I’m sure you all will do well wherever you go. :-)

MCT1996, you ■■■■■??

Ok, sorry MCT 1996. I believe you.
