@Cameron7195 I do not know when, but I’m hoping it’s soon! I hope that the rate is not much higher than last years. Best of luck! Currently attempting to browse through data from previous years to see when they released.
@LaMaisonDesLunes Hopefully it’s lower!! But all we can do is wait
Are there any new information about the waitlist? Or should we just wait until Mid-May
I think they said May 15th was the earliest we would hear back. And so we wait @hahaharry123
@songbirrdd @hahaharry123 Although they say that they will notify us at the earliest on May 15th, they have typically notified students admitted from the waitlist prior to May 15th. Last year, it was May 11th for those accepted.
hi I accepted a spot on the waitlist before May 1, but when I click to ‘Display’ my response to the waitlist form, it says that registration is no longer open because the deadline has passed. Is anyone else getting this? I got the email confirming that I had submitted the form, and when I last clicked ‘Display,’ it showed a locked version of my responses (not the ‘registration is no longer open’ sentence). Sorry to bother you and thanks
@hellousa I have that too. I hope it doesn’t mean anything significant.
@hellousa My portal is like that as well.
I feel like they will take a lot of people off the waitlist this year. Last year, they admitted 2085 people and took 36 off the waitlist. This year, they admitted 45 less people for a total of 2040. Therefore, they should admit more people off the waitlist (assuming they have the same # of seats (around 1700) and around the same yield). However, this # largely depends on the yield, which I think will be lower this year due to top-tier applicants applying to more schools.
What does everyone think?
@Cryb3by I would hope so. I personally know several people who have chosen Harvard, UChicago, Yale, MIT etc over Stanford already. It’s all my speculation but it seems like Stan has been planning on utilizing it’s waitlist more this year by accepting less kids and with unpredictable yield. I’m hoping a lot of us will have the chance to get off the waitlist.
Btw where are you committed to now?
@Cryb3by I think they’ll use the waitlist as they haven’t released us in the first week.
@hahaharry123 I’m committed to Purdue but I had to turn down Cornell and JHU due to cost
@Cryb3by Sorry to hear that. Maybe Stanford will work out for you!
Hi! I accepted a spot on the waitlist last month and in the portal there was always a checkmark beside the date I submitted my waitlist response. However, today I checked my portal and the checkmark with the date of when I submitted my response was gone. Do you still have the checkmark with the date or is it gone as well? Do you think that my response was not taken into account due to a technical error? Sorry to bother, but I’m really nervous!
@hwc8778 Its gone for me as well. I’m sure that it would have been looked at had they decided to take someone from your region. Looks like we might have acceptances/ waitlist releases pretty soon.
@hwc8778 @Waitlisted113683 Mine is gone as well. It’s funny because everyday I go back to my portal and something is missing lol. On Sunday, it was the error message for my waitlist form and now it’s this.
@hwc8778 Same. Hopefully we hear back soon! Transfer admissions are suppose to come out tomorrow, so maybe the two are correlated?
@Cryb3by I think so; last year, waitlist decisions were released a day after transfer or on the same day??? I’m basing this off of the first 2020 and 2021 release dates with the transfer admissions release dates.
This is nervewracking! It’s S t a n f o r d
Idk why I’m so stressed out…there really isn’t anything I can do at this point.
