<p>Eh.. some people would say it may hurt your chances, from what I remember, it’s from your entire region.. so technically they can accept everyone…but it’s not likely. So while you might not be directly compared to kids at your school.. in a way you still are. In that respect, yes, it may hurt a bit. </p>
<p>Quitting band I mean.. logically speaking as I would think that when you progress in HS you get busier and you have to make some sacrifices, because you sacrificed band does not necessarily mean it’s anything bad.. although it does make you a bit more stereotypical.</p>
