Starting a Business

I have a pretty good idea for a business, but I don't know what to do with it right off the bat.

Has anyone started a business themselves and/or participated in business plan competitions, etc.

Thanks for the help guys.

I own Goldexchange.eu and make around 150k a year from it.

-You need large startup capital (I had around 250k - Also depends on the type of business)
-Get a easy and good looking website
-Get a product/Service more innovative then the rest
-Custom Satisfaction is key

Then read the 1000 guides online that give out step by step instructions in setting up a business.....

It hink that this is supposed to e for high schoolers. Most high schoolers don't have that kind of capital to invest.

*think, be. Sorry, can't type.

where in the world did you get 250K?!

I seriously thought about starting a business. You need to calculate how much money you need to start, and how much you need to make until you braek even.

You need to go to your local library and get adult books on starting a small business. The kid ones are dumb, mostly about babysitting or lemonade stands.

You need to see if you need a license for what you are doing, and if so call the contact people (or email) immediately to add that to your estimated cost.

You need to figure out to whom you are advertizing, and how to advertise to them.

You can PM me if you want. I know a bit about sales tax, etc.
