Hi guys, so I am taking Stat 134 this fall and am currently enrolled in Pitman's class. However, Aldous' fits my schedule much better. However, my first consideration now is which one would be easier or has a more generous curve. Can anybody help me decide?

^I’m curious about this too. Also I noticed a new Lecture 3 which is thought by “The Staff”. Who will be teaching that lecture?

Man (or woman idk) please let me know if you get to know who will be teaching that other class (the staff). Maybe it would be an easier professor. How is your schedule by the way? Mine is so far econ 101a, stat 134 and I will enroll in math 54 during phase 2. I hope that’s manageable.

I’m doing EE120, CS170, EE 126, and Stat 134. I’m sure you’ll be working hard in all 3 but I think it’s definitely manageable.

bump.

Definitely Pitman. Around 30% of the class got a+/a. The exams are open-book and open-notes so they are extremely easy if you understand the concepts.

He’s a good teacher as well and you will learn a lot from him.

I took it last spring and spent <3 hrs doing homework each week and got a+ eventually.

I chose Pitman for Fall 2012, simply because he wrote the textbook. I read a review online somewhere that said that this made it easier to follow his lectures.
