I just got back from orientation, and I was surprised that they wouldn't let me sign up for K310. Apparently M119 (calc 1) is a prerequisite. The course description for K310 seems identical to AP stats (which I took last year but didn't take the exam) and I felt reasonably sure I could handle it. So I'm taking M119 even though I feel prepared for this stats class. Is there a way I can still get into K310 without taking M119 which I REALLY don't care to take?

When were you planning on taking M119? You have to take it (or a higher calculus class that you test into) sooner or later at Kelley. Or you could take calculus in the summer at a cc and transfer the credit and take something else this semester.
You can’t take K310 unless you have taken M119 or a higher calculus class at IU or some other place.

[Department of Statistics: Indiana University Bloomington](http://www.stat.indiana.edu/undergraduate/fall_undergradcourses.phtml)

Are you taking K310 instead of E370. E370 has M118 and microeconomics as prerequisites. You probably want to do stats now because you just took AP stats, but 300-level statistics classes tend to have prerequisites.

Did you take the math placement exam? You could’ve tested out of M119

Would advisors have the AP scores for tests taken a year ago? Does a student have to make the request for the credit since I did not see it in my son’s OneStart? It is funny that I could not see the AP credit site for the past few days. Hope they don’t make it more difficult.

Can K310 still be substituted for E370 for Kelley student?
