State AP Scholar

Hello,

I was thinking about pursuing the State AP Scholar award (which is given to the male and female who take the most AP's and do well on them) and I had a couple questions:

If I take, for example, five AP exams and get four 5's and one 4, would I receive the award over another applicant that took four AP exams and got all 5's?

Also, are seniors considered when choosing the State AP Scholar because that seems a little biased to me. They have an extra year to take more AP exams over juniors and even more of an advantage over the underclassmen.

Thanks!

To both of your questions-yes. State AP scholar is awarded first based on how many AP tests you have taken. Then, if there’s a tie, they look at the higher test average.
Nearly all State AP Scholars are seniors, which makes it all the more impressive if you achieve it before senior year.
