state exams

does Wellesley care a lot about how you've done on state assessment examinations (such as the Regents exams in NY)?

well the regents are usually your 5th quarter grade so it's incorporated into your GPA. i don't think the title counts as much.

Wellesley could only care if they were told about it.

If your counselor writes that you did well on the regents exam, or it shows up on your transcript explicitly Wellesley would hear about it. My HS transcript only had final grades. If it is in your GPA, there's an indirect effect. Otherwise it doesn't exist.

My regents grades are on my transcripts. I have a related question: if I did pretty decently well in a class and then got a relatively bad grade on the regents exam, does that negate that I did well in the class?
