Does anyone know how many APs it took to be state scholar in MD last year?

Judging by the caliber of students, it would most likely be along the lines of 19-23 or so.

Is there a data set where I could find this out?

Does anybody know how many it takes for OH?

i wish collegeboard would releases the data for how many AP’s exams the State scholars took. but they will never do it. They just don’t realize that if they release that kind of data, they would probably see a huge spike in the number of AP exams taken.

We don’t know exactly how many AP tests, but you can at least get some idea of states’ competitiveness from the statistics that collegeboard does release: Higher Education Professionals | College Board;

Maryland had 628 National AP Scholars (at least 8 AP tests)in 2008, and Ohio had 306. California had 2357 National AP Scholars, and I think the State AP Scholar from CA usually takes 20-something exams.

I dunno if that helps. I know there was a thread here earlier about this…

^^wow cal doesnt surprised me. only 20 tho? shame on him and her

edit: lidusha that is a great link…can you tell how to find it on cb site? like for future years

@collegebound41 20-something, not 20. I’m not sure exactly how many, but it was quite a lot.
