I know this thread has probably been done a hundred times however im bringing it up again. For me i live in florida and have bright futures and go to the University of Florida. However i have also been accepted to Cornell University which could cause somewhat of a financial burden on me and my parents. I think i will be happy attending either of these schools. How do i pick?

What is your intended major?

Weigh your benefits and interest. I made a pros and cons list for my in state school and out of state school.

In state you can
come home everwhere you want
scholarships
warm weather
familiar enviroment

Out of state
Far away from home
fin aid concern
cold
whole new enviroment

It's really up to you and also your major and what you want to do in the long run. Everyone makes sacrifices, UF is a great school but Cornell is a great opp. also.

Bite the bullet and go to Cornell although it may mean short-term sacrifice in many respects as bbecker listed above. No pain, no gain!
