Does anyone know how long it takes to get state-mandated ACT scores? My d is trying to decide whether to sign up for the June ACT and just took the state ACTs a couple of weeks ago. The ACT website doesn't really say how long, but seems to suggest you don't get the scores online until after you've gotten a score report in the mail.

3-8 weeks in mail. Online comes a week later I believe. I’m dying for my scores to come in

Thanks. I checked with our school counselor, who said the same thing. It’s a bummer because my d will have to decide whether to sign up for the June ACT without knowing her scores on the school ACT. Too bad they can’t get the scores up like they do for the regular ACT!

Well, you can always sign up then not take it. To me, it would be worth it to spend a little bit of money as a safety net to guarantee that I can take the test incase I need it than not be able to take it and have to rush getting scores in before EA applications are due.

You’re right; it’s mostly just that if she is going to take it, she needs to find time to study.

Yeah. I don’t know about her, but I have no time! With AP EXAMS and EOC’s and teachers rushing to finish their curriculums, it’s too hectic to add the ACT on top of that.
I just hope this April State test was high enough

Did your school ACT include the writing component? Some (usually more selective) schools require that. Our state did not include it.

Her school test did not include the writing, and that’s the only reason she’s considering taking it again. She’s already taken it once with writing. We’re not sure if the second (school) test will count for some of her schools anyway, which is a possible reason to take it for a third time. But it’s the end of the year, and she’s tired of tests.;)

People on here got their state sponsored ACT scores (that were administered around April 23rd) on May 11/12th before. I’m getting impatient.
