i dont really get this process...i know its like if you want to save your spot at the school you got accepted to, you have to sign the SIR and pay a fee, does this mean that i HAVE to attend this school in the fall? because lets say i change my mind and don't want to transfer anymore after signing the SIR, i think obviously i'll lose the money but is that it?

AFFIRMATIVE! But be careful, you can only SIR to one school! =)

thats quite alright, i only got accepted to one school lol :/

thanks tho.

Is that possible to SIR to one of the UCs and USC together?

@noodlesli-
Yes, you can. That’s why many schools have you pay a small fee when you submit the SIR, so if you renege on it they still made some money off you :P

But we can’t SIR to more than one UCs if I SIR to both UCSD and UCI for example?

Correct (since the UC SIRs are system-wide). USC is a private school - no relation to the UCs.

Yeah, I get it now, thx Darkstorn!

and what is the fee?

$100 for UCs. not sure about usc
