Its on the application! I dont know why I have to do this since I am citizen and I have been in California since I was born! Are you in the same situation lanceluo?

yap same here. i think everyone have to do it no matter what from California

I’ve lived in California for a quarter of a century (read: since I was born). I still had to submit an statement last year.

It’s a requirement for everyone. It’s simple enough to complete and is even easier when you’ve lived here your whole life. The red tape can get annoying, but there are worse things to put up with ;)

Yup had to fill one out as well…been in California my whole life…I wish they would just change it to an online form…mailing is so annoying…also when you log into your UCSC portal and if it still shows up as out of state tuition go to the To Do List and see if by Statement of Legal Residence it shows up as Completed/Reviewed…if says received then they haven’t checked it yet Turned in mine a while ago and when I kept calling/emailing them I found out they haven’t even reviewed it Just thought you’d like to know in case you’re like me and was going crazy about 54k a year…

Don’t sweat it so much. You know you’re a resident :). It’ll all get fixed soon.

I’m in a crappy situation because I grew up in California, lived there 22 years, attended UCSC as a resident, attended a CCC as a resident, but I took classes out of state one semester this year. Because my mom lives in that state, I got in-state tuition for it. I hope their bull**** legal rules don’t screw me over now.
