Is this class similar to AP Statistics? I was thinking about taking 350, but received a 5 on AP Stat exam. Also, how difficult would this class probably be for someone whose taken AP Stats already? (Er stats 250, it's been renamed). Also, what are some of the easier professors for this course?

If you received a 5 on the AP Statistics exam, you should breeze through it. I had never taken statistics before and received and A in the course. If you take stats, take it with Gunderson- she’s great.

One of the few classes where an A+ is actually feasible.

every class is A+able.
the easiest A+s are the classes with scantron exams and make sure you have friends you trust to hook you up

i agree with onesong. you might get bored redoing the same stuff though.

It’s a LOT like AP Stats. If you got a 5 on the exam, you probably wouldn’t even have to attend lecture (but you still should since you have to use your Quizdom clicker as participation).

Seriously, it doesn’t even cover as much as AP Stats does. You’ll be perfectly fine, don’t worry.

The best professor is easily Professor Gunderson. She explains things the clearest and is overall the best Stats 250 professor by far.

“the easiest A+s are the classes with scantron exams and make sure you have friends you trust to hook you up”

What is that suppose to mean? Are you condoning cheating??

wth black pen? how did you draw that conclusion?

answer to your question: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/1064390707-post16.html

anyway, like i said, every class is A+able. at the end of the semester, when the professors email that announcement about final grades, theres always a bunch of studnets who earn an A+.

scan tron tests are mutliple choice, the answer is in front of you. about friends, a lot of profs only give a certain number of practice exams. find people you can trust to get you materials or resources on time. i’ve known people who wanted to **** me by by sending me the stuff late such as the day we have our test or deliberatly giving me wrong answer keys to practice questoins and stuff so i’d waste time. not cool

My bad, I read into your comment too much. I wouldn’t say a bunch of students; Certainly intro stats is probably one of the easiest class to get an A+. Just own the final the exam and you have yourself an A+.

lmao, I can’t believe people do that. Wrong answer key… LOL; I’ve never heard that one before.

Can anyone offer some insight on the materials list for this class? There is a LOT of stuff that we apparently need and a million different choices…I have no idea where to start.

Basically you need three things
- Textbook- need for hw, but better if you just borrow it from someone when you need it. Absolutely horrible when it comes to learning material from it.
- Lecture notes- Buy it and take good notes during lecture.
- Lab section material- Get it (buy or borrow) for the lab section.
