Stats Major Internships?

I'm having some difficulty finding internship opportunities for statistics majors. Obviously I have done the searches on places like Simplyhired, Indeed, etc. but the vast majority of these require you to be in your last year of undergrad or a masters candidate.

I am a sophomore, so I think because there are basically none listed on job sites, it makes more sense for me to contact firms directly and ask if they have any openings. Because it's just my sophomore-junior summer I'd work for free in my home city, if possible.

What should I search on Google Maps to find firms that would have positions relating to a statistics major? For instance if I'm looking for a finance internship I just search "investing" into GM and get like 15 hits...What would the keywords be for statistics?

Any other suggestions or known internships are also appreciated. Thanks.

Bump, please. No one has any idea on places a stats major could intern? I am looking at something in finance/investing down the line but that’s not concrete at all, just want some experience this summer.

Bump, come onnn.

One more bump, come onnnnn…

I want to know the same thing and you might have seen this but theres a few here
[Internship Opportunities](Internships and Fellowships)

Yup, been on the Amstat website but it’s mainly for Phd/masters students. Bump.
