Don't be a prick. She's right, your GPA is very low for accepted applicants.

ballaboy...both your SAT's and GPA are very low and ur race definitely played a factor into it...u did get lucky because URM doesn't play THAT much of a factor to boost someone w/ a 2.7 in. Anyhow, congrats and try to be more friendly to other people on here.

@dsmo: yeah - but i have other things besides the color of my skin. way to go and miss my point.

/jerk.

@parikhs: yeah, okay. good job on founding five bazillion companies too. maybe all of us don't have those opportunities, eh?

Chill kids. What's wrong with all you people?

that's what i wanna know...

Give me a break. I don't give a damn about what color you are.

The girl even went on to congratulate you and you go ahead and insult her.

ballaboy, i don't think you're mature enough to go to a great university like U of M. the truth is that a 2.7 is NOT a good GPA, and your 1700 SAT score isn't either. "icyblows88" okay, dude, my intention was NOT to offend you, i was just really surprised that they let you in. you are simply very lucky. and of course, a URM. i am very much anti affirmative action and this is a very good example of affirmative action and why it's not so great.

you had no right to come out and say "icyblows88". but whatever, you're just immature.

It was a troll.

Those acronyms stood for something like "you have been trolled have a nice day"

Based on the experience of an Hispanic friend of my D, you should be in for some big $$$$ BlueNoise.

It seems like everyone who's being accepted right now are people applying here as a safety.

Yea...I'm a borderline applicant all the way...I applied 11/4 and I'm still waiting to hear back :( It would be a sweet Christmas present if I found out this upcoming week...otherwise I'll just have to wait until January. Super nervous.

A2Wolves6 - That's encouraging, because this spring when those people find out they got into other schools, more spots open up. I think I read here that 50% of deferred eventually get in. Can anyone confirm that?
