Anyone apply to UCI but didn't get in? if so, post your stats on this thread and perhaps deduce why you didn't get in. Even if you didn't get in, list some schools you did get into, and tell which one you are attending or planning to attend.

i personally do not know anyone who was rejected from uci

I know one person who got rejected... out of 100+... but then again... people don't brag about schools they were rejected at.

there are plenty of people who get rejected from uci, myself included. Uci has some whack admissions standards.

Well I know a friend of mine who got rejected but later admitted through appeals. He had a 3.3 GPA with a huge load of AP and community college classes (we were in a program on the campus of a community college) and an SAT1 score in the 1600s. His sat2 math was in the 500s and his sat2 bio was in the low 600s. I'll be seeing him again this fall =].

chip... u got into sd but not irvine?

wow, how'd u know?? hahaha yea i lucked out i guess. but i really wanted to go to uci,, it seems like a fun school.

I got into SD and chose I :-)... I can tell from the fact that all ur posts are at the SD forum... I think SD is more fair in the admissions process because they have a number formula thats made public... I wonder how UCI chooses... probably random.

I have a feeling every school is similar in some way but with emphases on different things. UC Davis also publicizes their point system but never reveals a person's points (unless you bug them).
