Do I still have a chance?

<p>i'm stressing out BIG time. :(</p>

<p>still havent' heard anything from irvine and it seems a lot of you guys already have.</p>

<p>a couple friends at school have gotten in (some were elc) and a couple haven't heard anything.</p>

<p>so far i've been rejected at ucsd and accepted at ucd and ucsb.</p>

<p>my stats are 3.9 ucgpa, 1940 SATI, 710, 630 SATII.</p>

<p>i don't know what to think right now.</p>

<p>will i be rejected? do i still have a chance?</p>

<p>dude i got into uci with a 3.6 uc gpa. you should be good, statistically at least.</p>

<p>Those stats are comfortably above the average for UCI, I wouldn't sweat it.</p>

<p>The Brian: My stats are very similar to yours and I haven't heard anything either! Ugh. I tried to keep it cool for awhile, but it's def stressing me out too. I hope we get GOOD news tomorrow.</p>

<p>Oh, and I was just rejected from UCSD (my first rejection...bummer), but I've been accepted to UCSB, UCD, UCSC, UCM & UCR.</p>

<p>a lot of people said that i should get in because my stats are a good match for uci, but it's already the 23rd and still nothing...</p>

<p>You should call them and make sure they have your application. I know it sounds weird, but they are people and it could have been put under a coffee cup by an admissions counselor. You have such great stats and such enthusiasm for UCI, you should be admitted no matter what!</p>

<p>I am also still waiting for a response. I don't like how Irvine is sending their acceptances in these random batches, which I hear are supposedly supposed to be sent out every Thursday.</p>

<p>oh come ON, the two of you (brian & senior) will DEFENITELY get in. and if neither of you do, there honestly is something wrong w/ the decision, which you'll (successfully) appeal.

<p>yeah u guys will get in! UCI's admission has been pretty consistent (type of ppl who have gotten in) and your stats seem to match up well with theirs. its not like UCSD where ppl with 3.95 w and 2000's were getting rejected left and right</p>

<p>The Brian, my friend heard back from UC Irvine on the 25th last year. He got in but was rejected from UCSB, UCLA, and UCB.</p>

<p>Your stats are way higher than his.</p>

<p>Don't give up!! It's anyday now.</p>
