haha I definitely know how you feel. I was gone for a few days at the end of the month, and our mail was put on hold, but I didn’t have anything from USC when we got back. Then we had some crazy snow, and didn’t get mail on Saturday and maybe not Friday (I don’t remember). We got mail today, but there were only three pieces, so I don’t know if that was Sat’s and today’s or just today’s… ugh mail! I called my admissions counselor asking if there’s anything I’m supposed to do/any letters I’m supposed to have received, but I guess she was at lunch! I haven’t heard back from her. Ah well, I guess I’ll just have to antsily wait… grr this is aggravating!

ya wisdom where are you from I’m assuming by snow you were talkin about that crazy amount this past weekened in the DC area.

I’m one of four who applied to USC from my school. And I like my odds, if for some reason the AdComs decided they HAD to have someone from my school.

My stats, which are 3.8/4.3 and a 30ACT (applying undecided) and everyone else’s. (Using only the first letter to be nice to them).

E- 29 ACT and grades lower than mine. (I know her rank is lower than mine). She also applied to SCA, which has ridiculous acceptance rates.
C- somewhere beyond the top 100 people in the class and a 26 ACT, I think.
M- Ranked literally 1 person behind me (I’m 56th, she’s 57th) and a 30 ACT. We’re the exact same, lol. But she said her first semester senior grades weren’t so hot. As well as she applied to Thornton for Music Business or something (which is apparently selective? Correct me if I’m wrong).

Anyways, that’s my cruel/deluded little world. Like I said, if for some inane reason the adcoms decided they needed someone from my school, I’d have a fair shot!

They could also choose any of us though, because we all have our quirks. I like the idea of choosing people based on their personalities as opposed to their grades. I worked hard to get what I earned, but at the same time…it’d be nice to even have a shot at an Ivy, which I don’t. (:

But at the same time, USC is Ivy enough for me. It’s still the school of my dreams. (:
Small world. I love you guys.

Yeah, I’m in the DC area. :)

oxolojo, I’m kinda in the same boat as you for NYU, but I think I have it worse! There are three of us applying to Tisch, though different parts of Tisch. I probably have the strongest academic profile/ECs, but they have strong profiles for what they’re applying for. One kid was already accepted ED for film, and then my friend and I applied RD, me for theatre, her for recorded music. I hope we all are accepted! But I can only think of one other Tischie from my school since I was in 6th grade… :/

I’m the only one from my school applying to this USC as far as I know… but about 1/10th of my class (it seems) applied to the other USC! (University of South Carolina)

I’m one of two people from my school applying to USC… everyone thinks it’s South Carolina here too. :P

I applied to Tisch too, for Cinema Studies. Only person from my school, as far as I know.
