Status page

So... on the status page there's some kind of navagation box in the upper left hand corner and the first link I guess directs you to the school you applied to. And since up to a week ago mine has said college of fine arts.. (im applying to studio art) ... and now its changed to college of liberal arts...

do you think this means that i didn't get into my major, and now my app. is going through liberal arts major.. undeclared????

I know this is a weird question, but it is driving me crazy.

my d was admitted to fine arts and the first link does say fine arts.. On the application status check page it should clearly state which college you were admitted to and whether it was your first or second choice.. Don't be shy to call the admissions dept and ask what happened. I called there the other day and actually got a fast and polite answer to a question..

I second the advice to call..

All the people that I have spoken to there seem very eager to help :)

good question

When I wrote UT and asked to change my first choice to Business, they changed the school in the Navigation Bar.

I have gotten so desperate to hear my status that today I checked the "what I owe" link to see if maybe they had generated a bill. Nope.

Where is this link...I cant find it?

WHen I click on the Office of admissions link, it takes me to the be a longhorn page, no specific school.

It's the link above the Office of Admissions link.

I don't have a link there..Its just Office of Admissions then Navigation menu, what does this mean? (I applied geosciences)

I have no idea, I was in state top 10%, so I didn't even notice when I DIDN'T have something up there.

This is how mine looks:

NAVIGATION MENU

** * College of Engineering**
* Office of Admissions
* Housing
* Measurement and Evaluation (tests)
* New Student Services
* Student Financial Services
* University Health Services
* University Catalogs
* What I Owe
* Web Privacy Policy

ek...this makes me anxious ... well I guess ill give them a call tomorrow. Thanks!!

Kristin - good question.

Mine says COLA and I applied to CoNS as well. And I remember seeing it change but I didn't think anything of it. :[

On the other hand, I was invited to apply to a program in CoNS so what the heck?

I am so confused now lol. And nervous. But shoot, as long as I get into UT I don't care if I have to start out as Undeclared Liberal Arts. I was thinking of switching majors to Psychology anyway hah.

DO you think no link means rejection?

Weil, you dont have a link?

I doubt it means that you are rejected... wouldn't they let you know by now?..... Ha, I'm probably scaring everyone with this tiny little detail I noticed. Geezzz, this is the longest two months of my life... at this point i just need to know.

I'm going to call admissions tomorrow and ask... check back here around 1 or 2 pm and Ill let you guys know what it means.

Weil123:

We are talking about the navigaton menu. Its the orange box in the upper left hand corner of the Application Status Page. There's a bunch of links to accounts, housing and registration. If you're not yet admitted, nothing comes up on the link.

I think the Navigation Menu means nothing. I think they're going to ruin my spring break and I am starting resent the hell out of it. They know. They know that they know.

I understand that. My navigation menu says "Navigation Menu" then goes straight to Office of admissions, housing, Measurement tests, etc.

So what does that mean?

So yours doesn't have the name of the college where you applied on the top?
Probably the work- study student in the office just forgot to enter it.
I'm sure it means nothing.

Really... are you serious?

I have College of Liberal Arts; is that the last leg of the race as to whether or not you're admitted?

just2fitz:

Was that your first choice school?
