I’ve accomplished something that I think might add to my application in the past couple of days, but it seems a bit late to send an update to my colleges about it. Have they already made a decision? If so, might it be best to see where I get waitlisted and send it in a LOCI?
Unless it’s quite significant, I don’t see much point in sending an update to colleges releasing decisions in the next week. However, some of the very most selective colleges aren’t releasing decisions until several weeks from now. If it’s a college releasing a decision two or more weeks from now, notify AO’s if you are sure it’s worth them knowing about.
If you choose to update after finding out you are on waitlists, yes, send a LOCI and include information about your recent achievement, and be sure to make clear that if you are accepted you will attend.
