Stay another year at CC to finish pre reqs or just apply to ucs?

I'm currently attending Santa Monica College in my first year spring semester I want to transfer to ucla as a business major for accounting. I need one more class in fall 2012 to finish my igetc but it seems I need might need an extra semester or two to finish math pre reqs. Should I just apply or take the extra year and increase my chances?

As a recent transfer admit to the UC’s, they will tell you that you NEED your math finished by the time you are transferring. You need at least 60 transferrable unis and a highly competitive GPA, especially for business.

You will not be admitted without finishing either of your 2 math pre-reqs.

Finish those classes. You are not going to get into UCLA without those pre-reqs

Will you have all your pre-reqs done by the end of next Spring? If so, you should definitely apply. There’s no harm in having a couple pre-reqs in progress, but you don’t want to leave all of them to last semester.

I don’t see a harm in applying anyway. If you don’t get accepted, apply again next year. Especially since you are thinking about waiting an extra year, why not apply anyway?
