FRC (First Robotics Competition)
CyberPatriots (a cyber security completion)
A math team (could compete in stuff like mathcounts)
Just some ideas
@snowfairy137 thank you, but our school has FRC (whose competition topics I do not like) and we do have math team (I’m in it). Also, I really want to have a hands on experience (like robotics) but I said before I do not like the topics FRC has. Do you think I can make a alternate build team (for a different competition). Lastly, I liked your CyberPatriots Competition idea. I might actually start that in our school.
SECME (Southeastern Consortium for Minorities in Engineering) If you’re in Southeastern United States.
Science Olympiad, though I’ve never been in it.
My friend and I started a Bioengineering team at my school. Sounds fancy, but just like a math club, [where you compete for AMC/AIME], we’re raising funds for a competition in Boston called iGEM
(international genetically engineered machines)
I started a club after a STEM program was established in our school. We do state math/science competitions and participate in national as well as within the club competitions. STEM is really broad and you could just make a STEM club, allowing yourself to do whatever you want in it.
@ritvikbiswas what’s wrong with the frc topics? Besides they change every year, so if you don’t like this years one, which wasn’t the most interesting ever, see if you like next years. It really would be the best if you like hands on. Plus, its actually really fun, give it a chance.
And yes, you could make a team for a different competition, but you’d be competing with the already established team for members, funds, and stuff.
Also, FIRST has great scholarships, just throwing that out there :).
Sorry, I just came back from an FRC competition, so it’s really all I can think about.
