Stepford Smilers?

<p>This is a slow/dead board, but hopefully I'll get some views.</p>

<p>Did anyone notice an unnerving quality to the college during their visit? My father and I both noticed independently that the college may as well have been transplanted from the Stepford Wives. Admissions staff, professors, and students were all exceedingly friendly, and in a manner which came off as unnerving or saccharine. Did anyone else get a similar vibe?</p>

<p>Are you from the east coast? It’s been my experience visiting Midwest schools that everyone is very outwardly friendly…every region has it’s persona…don’t be put off by it…</p>

<p>Nope, Midwest. Most of the schools I’ve visited have been Midwest schools, and none of them seemed to give off this same vibe.</p>
