“Can you give me your opinion about my essay/class schedule/ECs?”
eventually followed by:
“Your opinion can’t be right because I once read something different somewhere.”

“so my mom is making me take honors psych instead of AP Psych because she thinks i need to lighten my load, can i still get into Stanford or do i have to murder her? would a felony be a hook?”

I took regular english in first grade instead of honros. I’ve been taking AP and college level courses since 8th grade. Will my GC still say I took the toughest course load or will that one non honors class kill my chances at HYPSMCDEFGHIJKLMNOP?

(She’s going to Columbia according to Perez.)
I’ll be two blocks from Emma and on the same campus. Only (also according to Perez) she’s changing her name to “Charlotte Watson” for anonymity.

I guess having that posted on a website accessed by millions kills that anonymous thing.

^So it’s finally confirmed that she’s going there? Or is Perez just ranting. Personally, I wouldn’t trust him. Until she releases an official statement, it’s just another rumor.

“I have a 2300 SAT score without any prep and without reading half the questions because a gnat flew in my eye. I will be doing a new practice test every day during the summer in addition to taking a prep class all day each Saturday and working on vocabulary every evening. What else should I do to raise my score? Oh, did I mention, I’m in 8th grade and plan to work like this until I take the test in 3 years?”

If she changed her name to Emma Chang, she probably wouldn’t have been accepted. Anyway, it’s nice to see that Americans aren’t the only ones who fall for the Ivy-or-nothing hype.
