What is the acceptance rate for transfers?

How many spots vs how many apps?

what %?

I heard that it's about 30%, this year they have over 4200 applicants

i don't think so.

30% of 4200 is about 1260.

I know for a fact that they don't take that many xfers to stern.

Their freshmen pool is 500.

I think that maggie was talking about NYU in general...

Transfer applications received for Fall 2003: 4,692
Transfer applicants offered admission for Fall 2003: 1,641
Transfer applicants enrolled for Fall 2003: 958

I got those from USNEWS... Remember yield also has to be taken into account not jus acceptance rates... Although I would agree that the enrollment for stern itself would be much lower than the 958 figure, using the figures above.

its low, but it really can change year to year depending how many open spots they have... i heard they overaccepted last year, so this year might be hard.
