Stern v Tepper?!

Hey guys, I don't know which to choose- Tepper or Stern, I plan on doing something along the lines of international business..
some deciding factors:
1. pittsburgh is ehh
2. its about 6-7 hrs away from home
3. but, cmu will be about 15K cheaper than nyu

so idont know which one to choose!

Lol I would prefer Tepper but then again I’m a bit biased lol. My heart say Tepper but everything else screams Stern.

Ahhh. I’m going through the exact same decision. And we only have ONE more day left. =/

Where do you think you’re leaning towards? For me, it’s probably Stern…(idk though)

So what did 3 previous posters decide? My S on priority waitlist for Tepper.

Stern is suffering hard. Go ask their current junior and seniors. Wall St. is collapsing and unlike Tepper students who may still get Barcap/UBS/Citi IBD AND get consulting, elite prop shops, and IT jobs, Stern has no way out. When the market was good, Stern was a great feeder. Now, it’s an utter disaster. Having such a huge class (1000) and very competitive students doesn’t help either whereas each Tepper class is around 80 and the quant reputation helps a lot whether you’re doing consulting or trading or whatnot.

yeah, I’d choose Tepper too it’s as good as Stern. It has shown an incredible rise in business school rankings in the last few years and is still developing I personally think it will be one of the top in the world in the next few years

two words.

computational finance.

tepper all the way.

is this for undergrad? BSCF @ cmu is competitive, but people give too much street cred.

BSCF is a harder program to get into, but you must realize BSCF is not part of tepper. it’s more MCS (mellon college of science - mathematics).

I say stern.
