Anyone hear decision yet for Stevens ED1?
How many prospective students apply for ED Usually?? And how much does ED increase your chances?
Yesterday, I received an email from Admissions at Stevens, notifying me of an update. Here are snippets from the update (found in the portal):
“You have been selected as a likely candidate for admission. You are one of a small percentage of our applicants to receive this early notification… As long as you continue to maintain the quality of your academic record and personal conduct, you will receive a formal notice of this decision by March 31, 2021. It will be accompanied by your financial aid and/or scholarship offer.”
Congratulations on (likely) being selected to Stevens. DS is also waiting to hear. Would you mind sharing your stats?
Congratulations.
Was this for RD? This is one of my daughters last schools she is waiting to hear from.
RD. Please see stats at Admissions at SDM
Did anyone hear back who applied RD?
March 12th I’m thinking will be the RD notification date
yeah they usually release second friday of the month
So are we expecting tomorrow at 4pm
My guess is closer to 5pm based off of last year’s posts. I’m currently working under the assumption that the date hasn’t changed even with covid (especially because Stevens is a smaller school with less applicants), but there’s always the chance the date gets pushed back to next Friday.
Did anyone hear from Stevens yet? Do we know if it is happening today?
Nothing yet, I assume if we don’t hear back by 5:30 we won’t hear back today.
anyone get any decision yet?
Don’t see anything. Just hope it comes out. Other school’s released on their usual days, but decisions came out later than expected. I’m not sure if SIT will follow this format.
I hope so
do you know when decisions come out???
Nothing is set, but seeing as a lot of colleges delayed decisions by a week, best bet is this coming Friday. We may get surprised earlier on, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Why you should avoid Stevens:
I am a junior here at Stevens and I absolutely hate it here. This school has been falling apart for the past 5 years. There has been a lot of cheating scandals at this University that has caused many Financial/Defense companies to blacklist this school. This means that these companies will never accept anyone who is currently working to get or has a Stevens Degree. Within the past 4 years, companies no longer consider us a target school, which means this school is becoming less and less of a pipeline for major companies. As far as I know, companies like Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Wells Fargo all recruit directly from NJIT and Rutgers but not Stevens. Social Life is currently at a all time low. Recently there was a incel scandal that shook the school. There were quite a few students talking about a girl in a misogynistic way. This incident was reported to Title IX, but no action was taking place because there was a possibility that it will effect their already small budget. I am telling you right now, you may think this school looks great on the outside, but it is not, I am absolutely fed up with all the scandals this school has had in the past 10 years. Enough is enough, it is too late for me to transfer out, so I am stuck here, but make your decision wisely.
This is definitely a lot to take.
