So I am already enrolled to attend UC Davis for the fall, but lately I've been doing a lot of research (which I should've done before) into becoming a physical therapist and it seems that maybe I should've picked CSU Long Beach. Would it be a good idea to switch after my first year in Davis to Long Beach? I know Davis is a great school and there are many opportunities for new experiences, but I feel that education wise, Long Beach would've been a better option for physical therapy.

I could really use some advice here… I feel really torn between the two colleges…

Well, here’s the issue with Long Beach, it has become extremely difficult to be admitted to Long Beach. They received 83K applications for their 7K spots 4k=undergrad, 3K graduate school. Their most impacted major is Health and Human services which has the OT and PT departments. they were supposed to be changing how they admit Transfers. I don’t remember if it was doing one admission date for all applications.

So would it just be better to stay at Davis than to try to transfer to Long Beach?

Would it just be easier to stay at Davis and just apply for graduate school at Long Beach?

That really depends on you.

this could be the cold feet syndrome (aka buyer’s remorse) so many prospective freshmen are experiencing on the last day of August, or have experienced it in the last month.

take a deep breath. you’re going to Davis. Give it your all. Get high grades. If after a year it’s not for you, then consider your options. But I’m betting you’re going to love it there.
